The idea looks fantastic! The only criticism is that the tape on the back ruins the looks.

the tape was temporary(need to steal sisters cam to take newer pics).... I actually discovered that if I flipped that one cell the opposite direction I could get it unnoticeable all together..... currently I'm trying to get the exact amount of time the battery will last (pending on different circumstances)...... currently I have 8gb sd stick in, 32gb adata cf card, wifi enabled, blue tooth enabled and back light to max.....biggest issue after losing the first axim and finding the alternative soldering points.... is that the battery, since its 3rd party the meter sometimes isn't accurate so it somewhat interferes with charging and so on(finding an alternative battery make thats more reliable is still a on going search.... currently using guts from a Cameron Sino.... which aren't greatest rep, but work)....

anyone know anything like prime95 or heavyload that will run on pocket pc / windows mobile / x51v:P????

pends on what you mean by stock door;P..... I had to cut up the casing..... but the door is still in theory 99.9% stock, minus the little hooks on the bottom:P

thanks..... was just wanting to avoid having to play Quake III or some crap in order to find out how long the battery will last under a full load:P..... will try them all and see which works best for the purpose:P..... we'll see....

currently I've re-recharged the unit and am letting it sit there again with 2x uptime programs(uptime plugin, and my uptime) trying to figure out how long the thing can run... first time I recharged it.... it claimed to be full charge then I went to use it and the pda claimed it was dead followed by 20%:P...... this time around when I charged it, it was just fine.... so we'll see.... again I think this is a Cameron Sino issue:P.....

besides all this I'm gonna be posting some update pictures on xda soon:P

Seems much simpler (and far less dangerous) to just get the larger battery door and extended battery. Just my opinion of course.

Nice looking work, but did you have to use cyanocrylate (Super Glue)??? Jeeze! Look for some MEK (Methyl-Ethyl Ketone) to stick plastic to plastic. If you're careful with it, your work is invisible and secure.

Trenchworthy.

would defeat the purpose as I'm trying to get a stock look and the only alternative with the extended door looked ugly as crap.....

I didn't use super glue on the door...... I ended up using generic 5 minute epoxy.... however I had looked all over at places like walmart and similar, with no luck in finding plastic model glue which I think is what your talking about(Methyl-Ethyl Ketone)... however I'm still looking and I'm sure if I find some ever it will be fairly simple to chip off the epoxy....
